I have 2 children by my first marriage, and Gordon has 7 from his first marriage, so my family expanded exponentially when I married Gordon. Since we married later in life, we did not have any of our own children, but we have a bunch of grandkids to enjoy! My children gave me 5 wonderful grandchildren, and Gordon’s kids have spun off 9 grandkids so far. Continue Reading »

Monday, I received word that my brother Ronnie had died from complications of having a defibrillator implanted in his chest.
The memorial service was held at his home church in the Fort Worth area on Wednesday. It was a wonderful service, and of course, I saw many family members I hadn’t seen in years.
I’m happy that Ronnie is no longer suffering with poor health. And, his dream of building a rehab center is being pursued by my other brothers and Ronnie’s pastor.

Another one of my favorite love songs, especially when it comes to the way Gordon loves me. I do love how he does that!
I love how your eyes close whenever you kiss me
And when I’m away from you, I love how you miss me
I love the way you always treat me tenderly
But, darling, most of all, I love how you love me
I love how your heart beats whenever I hold you
I love how you think of me without being told to
I love the way your touch is always heavenly
But, darling, most of all, I love how you love me
I love the way your touch is always heavenly
But, darling, most of all, I love how you love me
I love how you hug me
I love how you squeeze me, tease me, please me,
Love how you love me
I love how you love me (repeat)

This is one of my favorite songs by Colin Ray, and it quickly became one of Gordon’s as well:
For all I’ve been blessed with in this life
There was an emptiness in me
I was imprisoned by the power of gold
But one honest touch could set me free
Let the world stop turning
Let the sun stop burning
Let them tell me love’s not worth going through
If it all falls apart
I will know deep in my heart
The only dream that mattered had come true
In this life, I was loved by you
For every mountain I have climbed
And every raging river crossed
You were the treasure that I’d longed to find
Without your love I would be lost
Let the world stop turning
Let the sun stop burning
Let them tell me love’s not worth going through
If it all falls apart
I will know deep in my heart
The only dream that mattered had come true
In this life, I was loved by you

I finally got a new hairdo yesterday.
Because it is shorter, it will be easier to take care of. Not fancy, but I like it, at least for the time being.
