My name is Karan, and I used to have the popular website, called Karan’s Korner, that my husband started for me in 1994, about our search for a cure for MS. Several years later, when we learned that my identity is not defined by any disease, we decided to take down the site. My husband and I have learned a lot since then about life and wholeness.
Now, I’m back on the web, hoping to share with other people who may be struggling with life, some of the things I have learned from my experience over these many years.
One of the things I’ve learned is that you should never allow a disease to become your identity or to control your life. Never own a disease, because it is not who you are – it is an intruder. Treat it like you would treat anyone who invited themselves into your home without your permission.
Another thing I have learned is that God is always good, only good, and never anything else but good. Some people think that God is allowed to do bad things to accomplish His purposes. But, that is not love by any sane definition. That’s child abuse, or divine Munchausen-by-proxy. God’s Love cannot be both the source of affliction and the healer of it.
I will be posting more here in the months ahead, so please come back often. Meanwhile, feel free to look around and offer your suggestions and comments to us, will you?
And, don’t forget to read about my wonderful hubby and some of the things he shares. He’s really smart (he married me!) and he reads a LOT. We have been sharing our wonderful life for over 15 years, so much of what I have learned, we have learned together.
You can reach me by email here.
Love,
Karan
